An Absolutely True, Risk-Free Lifetime !Marketig Tools

I have a confession to make. I am guilty of purchasing too many marketing program online. I was convinced that each would be useful; then I never used them. Yes, it is a hell of a true confession but why lie:

I wasted my money.

Fortunately, that was years ago that I now consider a down payment on my Internet education. Since then I have developed a simple criteria for buying any program or even making purchases online:

If I cannot try it, I wouldn’t buy it.

It’s a great guerilla marketing strategy to allow a preview of a few pages to judge the quality of the ebook or even a hard cover book. It gets even more tricky when you have set your mind on paying for a new online marketing program.

The criteria work here too.

If the program is so good, a limited trial makes a big difference. If I it works for me I will be not only buy into it but I will tell the world about it. It’s the experience with the service that’s important, not what the promotion promises.

This criterion I think has literally saved me thousands of dollars.

Here is another confession, at one point in my marketing career development I became an opportunity seeker. The irony is that I changed my opportunity seeking ways because of my experiences and purchasing programs. That is a story for another day; today I want you to check this program out.

A no cost no obligation internet marketing program that allows you to really try before you buy into it. OK you may be saying most marketing programs allow a trial period before you buy. I agree they do come with time limits like 30 day or even 90 days but would you believe a program with a lifetime free membership.

Your life not mines.

This free membership gets you to the Silver level and you can enroll in their affiliate program if you wish. There is never any pressure with emails to do anything on this site, it’s totally up to you what you decide to do.

How is that possible?

Well seeing is believing, I want to introduce you to suite of marketing tools you can use for free. If you upgrade I will make a commission, not enough to go to the movies with but I will benefit from your upgrade.

But you never have to upgrade.

The fact is that after you have experienced the free training, access the lead generators, review the SEO technology and marketing portals there is not reason for you not to use it to promote your business.

20 Critical Questions You Must Ask Your Web Designer - Before Building A Site

It's Always Better To Ask A Question Before Than Pay Later

A website can be an electronic money pit. Or, it can become an important element of your overall marketing strategy.

Website design and development is a relatively new industry and as such there is not much information on how to build a successful revenue generating website.

Depending on the purpose and complexity of a site, investments in the Trinidad and Tobago web market can range in the low $2000 $3000 TTD for a basic site, to $20,000 to $30,000 TTD for a complicated site. The lower end representing sites developed by individual designers and the later web developers. You can find an explanation of the difference between a designer and developer; here.

You should consider the construction of your site is a team effort with the designer being the creative part of your team. Your responsibility is to supply the content you will like to include on the site.

Hopefully you have already done your homework with respect to developing a purpose and business model for your site. At this point your primary question is…

How do you find the right web designer?

Keep in mind that once a site is built, delivered and accepted your contract has been stratified. Unfortunately, the idea of a website is a “work in progress” which is a nice way to say; expect changes. At that time you may realize the real price of questions you neglected to ask before the site was built.

Most business owners at this point, throw up their hands and decide, even against their better judgment, to leave the site exactly like it is. Their rationale is that it is better to have a web presence than none at all. That is exactly why you need to ask these questions...

The Web Designer Interview

It’s time to build; you have developed your content and know the business model you will use. If you don’t know yet, you will discover that there are literally hundreds of designers in Trinidad and Tobago who can build a site. From self taught web designers to full fledged development companies, all providing seemingly same results.

Let’s just assume that after reviewing the designer’s/developer’s portfolio you decide that a particular designer does exactly what you are looking for. Consider that you will be hiring this designer/developer to work for you. The following questions should be part of your initial interview with them.

You need the answer to the following questions:

Web Designers, Web Developers; Are they the same?

Understanding The Internet By Understanding What People Do

To the a newbie, a web designer and a web developer are one and the same. When you understand what they do then you will understand the difference.

A web designer creates websites, they organize your information, create page lay outs. They put the client’s ideas based on the information they are provided to provide an online electronic picture. There goal is always to represent the clients’ ideas and to be aesthetically pleasing as possible.

Web designers must be able to…

:: Layout web pages using HTML, XHTML, XML, and other languages
:: Use HTML (hand code), JavaScript and CSS
:: Represent client’s ideas, needs and expectations on a web page.
:: Develop simple navigation elements (such as navigation bars)
:: Use design tools such as Photoshop
:: Fit into a web development team
:: Create Flash and animated programs
:: Understand and implement web standards
:: Understands Search Engine Optimization

Some web designers understand basic theories of Internet marketing but they are usually not versed in to any great degree in the nuance of marketing online. It is not a requirement for web design. Web designers are usually a one man show. However, because of the nature of web design a good designer should have skills that overlap with that of a web developer.

In an earlier post we examined some of the available web designers offering their services in the Trinidad Express. Check out that post here.

What does a web developer do?

A web developer also design websites but they do much more. Developers are more focused on high end complex websites that require a team of web designers to complete a project. As a rule most large corporations only do business with web developers although in developing countries some large corporation still engage individual designers.

A web developer functions include getting his team to take a site from concept, including layout, appearance and functionality for the target audience. Their goal is to make the layout as simple as possible yet sophisticated enough to attract the targeted prospect. Other functions or team members required to develop an effective ecommerce site are…

• E-commerce strategy manager
• Web programmer
• Interface designer
• Product development manager
• Web producer
• Website security administrator
• Content developer

There are many mistakes a business owner can make in developing ar web presence. Avoiding this One is easy, now that you know the difference. If you still do not have a web site. Do you think you need a designer or a developer?
