Calendar of Events 2020 Carnival
The 2020 edition of the National Action Cultural Committee's Young Kings Calypso Monarch is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11 at the Grand Stand of the Queen's Park Savannah.
Reigning Young Kings champion, Ronaldo London, will duel against his younger brother, Rivaldo, and 15 other contenders to try to retain his title in this year's final.
The London brothers swept victory in all three of Carnival's major calypso competitions last year. Ronaldo won the 2019 Calypso Monarch and Young Kings crowns, while Rivaldo took home the Junior Calypso Monarch title.
Their uncle, Brian London, helped the family complete a clean sweep, winning the Extempo Monarch competition last year.
Four-time-winner of the Junior Calypso Monarch, Aaron Duncan, and Guardian Media's Caston Cupid are also among the finalists.
The 16 finalists who will face Ronaldo for the crown are:
