I Hated Traffic Exchanges Until i Found This

Are Traffic Exchanges monumental time wasters?

First lets define what exactly is a Traffic Exchange: Here is Wikipedia's definition...
“A traffic exchange website receives website submissions from webmasters that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the website then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved.
Exchanges enforce a certain credit ratio, which illustrates the number of websites the surfer must view in order to receive one hit through the program for their promoted website. Many sites offer the ability to upgrade one's membership level for a more equal credit ratio.”

Now, allow me to translate that into simple language. Traffic Exchanges are sites where you exchange your time viewing other sites so that you can get other site owners to view your site.

My thinking has always been, as a site owner, why would I want to look at other sites?  I want to promote my site but my target audience are not site owners.  They have a profile that does not include them building and marketing web sites.

As such, although I joined and surfed a number of sites it was really a waste of my time.  I soon abandoned surfing for points.  Then I had a complete shift in my paradigm.

Recently, a client asked that I research the most appropriate traffic sources available on the internet.  He had been using Facebook and Adsense but his monthly expenses kept getting bigger and bigger.  His last bill for all the traffic he purchased  was $4139.

He was certainly willing to pay for the traffic but he wanted conversions, not just traffic.

When I started this project, I did not believe I would be be recommending that he look at Traffic Exchanges but that’s exactly what I did.

I raised the hood of over 50 Traffic Exchange and Mailer programs. I joined them and examined their business model. What I found was that most are very similar, and there are literally hundreds of Traffic Exchanges.

Finding the best ones takes time.

The challenge is that they cross promote, so if you are really interested in getting as much traffic as you can you are enticed and even incentivized to join another Traffic Exchange.

I want to share with you one that blew the rest of them away.  The reason; not only a different business model but an incentive that every marketer needs; software.  Software that can gather specific information about your marketing campaign.
The fact is that if you are not testing, not tracking all your online advertising  conversion, then every change you make, and every piece of advertising you pay for could be COSTING you money.  You never know what you are losing.

The software that you can get for free, allows you to track Ezine ads, banner swaps, pay-per-click keyword bids and much more. You can even track search engine traffic as well as keyword and key phrase denominations! And for every campaign, you'll answer questions such as:
  • ·        Is your present advertising worth the effort?
  • ·        Which ad is working best i.e. more profitable?
  • ·        Which site is the best place to advertise?
  • ·        Who is visiting your site?
  • ·        Which free classified ad is worth the time and effort?

You need traffic not to educate or entertain your visitors but to make money. This is the reason you need to know who your visitors are, you need to know when they come, what they do.  One ad will not make it, you need numerous ads online to generate the traffic you will need to be profitable.

If you run identical ads in different campaigns, how do you know which ones are worth running again?

There is only one way to know. You must track your advertising, online or offline. Just ask any successful marketer, they will all tell you is that you must track your ads.

Imagine if you could accurately, and easily track every link on your website, click by click.

Now you can!

Join me on HitsConnect is a tool that will revolutionize the way you measure your website's performance.

Now it does not matter if I believe in Traffic Exchanges again, now I can see the numbers, I can compare the performance of every action.  Don’t believe what others tell you, believe the numbers.

Now I have a happy client.
