 HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE

The Plant In My Back Yard
Baby Plants on Leaf & The Used Leaf

Today, I am sharing my experience with a plant, a medicinal herb; The Wonder of The World”,  This knowledge may help you one day.  You will understand the powerful healing nature of a plant that works wonders.  Here's my story...

On December 23rd, 2023, I awoke with a pain in my wrist, extremely tender to touch, and excruciatingly painful.  I could not understand it, I had gone to bed without even a slight pain. I decided to visit my doctor immediately. It was Saturday, the last day before the holidays, and I did not want to spend the Christmas holidays nursing such a pain.

Our family doctor, Frank Ramlackansingh,  a General Practitioner, is generally respected for his expertise, he lectures at the University of the West Indies and corrects medical papers every year in Jamaica.  But as he admits, when I asked for his email address, he is old-school, he does not have an email address.  He examined my wrist, compared it to the left hand, and showed me some swelling on my right wrist. I winched when he touched it.  His diagnosis was tenosynovitis, an inflammation of the synovium, the lining of the protective sheath that covers tendons.

Tendons are the strong cords that attach muscles to bones. The synovium produces a lubricating fluid that helps the tendon move smoothly and reduces friction.

When the synovium becomes inflamed, it can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty in moving the affected joint. This condition is often caused by overuse or repetitive movements of a particular joint or tendon. It can affect various parts of the body, including the wrists, hands, feet, and ankles.

He prescribed the following, after apologizing profusely for the list of medications he prescribed.  I list them here with their potential side effects:

I immediately went to the pharmacy, purchased every drug in the prescription, and started the treatment; I took the first pill.

The rest I had to take before I went to bed but before I did, my 92-year-old mother suggested I try; “The Wonder of the World Plant” of which she had a potted plant on the porch.  She picked a leave and wrapped it on my wrist.  Then, she instructed that I keep it on overnight.

Native to Madagascar but now found in many tropical regions, this resilient plant has been a staple in traditional medicine for centuries.

On December 24th, I woke healed; the pain was gone.  It was truly the wonder of my world. I could use my wrist, my hands felt perfectly normal.  The plethora of drugs was not necessary.  The Wonder of the World is my go-to remedy for pain. This is the reason I felt that I should share it so that you will know and consider this alternative remedy for pains and much more.

The picture shows the leaf on the left with new plants growing from the creases.  I remember, a long time ago, in my high school days, we would put one in a book and it would start sprouting new plants after a few days, it fed itself.

The brownish leaf on the side is the one that I had worn for the night, it appeared dead and lifeless, and my skin was temporarily paled as if something was soaked with a chemical.

If you are still reading here, you got the point. Doctors study medicine, therefore their responses to diagnosis will always be medicinal drugs.

The potential side effects of taking these drugs are known but there are so many unknown alternatives in nature.  If you live in the tropics make an effort to get this plant at home.

Seek it out, find it, and use it.  It works.
