I remember being a member of the Ujima Club and organizing activities to promote cultural awareness. Those days flew by in a blink now we are considered "old men".

"Considered" by others but still feeling a burning youthful desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Maybe it was the times we grew up and the "education" we received that shaped our futures.

Thanks again for joining the group and I think that you may find a couple of ideas here to market the programs you are currently involved in.

Your participation is sincerely appreciated.

TonyTonyPuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097924080018596753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5050751039322570722.post-39769451188314172802009-03-29T12:33:00.000-04:002009-03-29T12:33:00.000-04:00Hi Tony It seems like just yesterday that we were ...Hi Tony
It seems like just yesterday that we were running around UMASS/Boston, strutting our stuff, and demanding that the college stay on their mission. Those were proud days for me to be in a position, Chairperson of Student Activities, to enact change in the daily student life on campus. I left the college and with the help of my mentor, The Honorable Mel King, moved into the area of education. I stayed in education for the next 10 years, and felt that I wanted to become richer (greed.)
I went into the area of sales and ended up all over the United States. I started selling Travel in Bellingham, Washington. Then I moved to Chicago, Illinois and sold graves and mausoleums. Finally I ended up selling home water systems in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. After all this moving and working, I realized that I was not this of salesperson.
I was on my way from Nevada when I was touched in a spiritual way. It was at this time that God revealed to me the purpose of my life. He told me that it that it was time to stop being the lamb, but now step up to become a shepherd. I have been teaching students from K1 to the 8th grade, how to use technology to enhance their education. I touch the future. I have also developed a program called, “Who’s Steering the ship?” This program deals with the goal setting and self esteem issues.
Currently, I am a Masters Candidate at Cambridge College. I will obtain a Med in Educational Instructional Technology in another year or so. My overall goal is to become a motivational speaker that will be able to speak to educators, parents, and children about their roles in shaping the future of the world. Act locally, Think Globally. The premise for my program is, your not born smart, you become smart, and this is how it happens.Ernesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112471832100720988noreply@blogger.com
